Murphy Beds and Cabinets
I built this Murphy Bed and Cabinets in our home. It is built from pine and chestnut that was milled in the early 1700's. I found the lumber in Baltimore. My wood shop smelled so good from the pine sawdust I hated to clean it up. The foam matress came in a box 24 x24 x30" and we thought we had bought a midget's matress. When we cut the plastic it started to grow and within a hour it was a perfect fit. The chestnut is used as trim for the cabinets and bed. The pine was used for the computer table.

In the summer of 2016 I had the pleasure of designing and building this cedar Murphy bed for my soon to arrive grand daughter.

You may have noticed, I do not paint many pieces. However, my daughter and daughter-in-law convinced me to design and build two of these cabinets for the grand kids.
