Cabinet Design and Construction 

During the past year (2014) we have constructed several kitchen cabinets. In our Laurel Home we removed two twelve inch deep overhead cabinets and rebuilt one to 24 inches deep and the other 30 inches deep then reinstalled the fronts with new hinges and handles. We also built a roll top cabinet to hold all of the cooking utencils. We used pine that was originally milled in early 1700 to construct a new cabinet under the existing cabinets. These projects have greatly increased our storage and simplified the kitchen design while providing plenty of new options for lighting.
